“With a rapidly growing customer base we needed to expand our infrastructure to support our growing team and product line,” said Sam Malouf, CEO. “Our new space will bring us together to help facilitate better communication and more collaboration.”Malouf partnered with AE Urbia to design the facility, which utilizes green construction for high resource efficiency.

Following open office design trends, the space creates a collaborative atmosphere for Malouf’s team, the company said. Skylights and glass walls let in natural light and are complemented by isolated sound design and acoustical lighting. Malouf’s blueprints also include several health and wellness spaces, such as a two-story strength and conditioning gym, an indoor basketball court, locker rooms and a dining area, run by the company’s corporate chef.

Plans for an imaging studio and cyclorama to support growing investments in video and photography are included. A large showroom will also be part of the building, and it will include another warehouse to support its growing product line, currently in excess of 2,000 SKUs.

Earlier this year Malouf announced the a cquisition of a 675,000-square-foot building , formerly owned by La-Z-Boy, that more than doubled the space it had previously and put the company over the 1 million square foot mark. Malouf said it will retain ownership of its current office and warehousing spaces in preparation for growth through upcoming product line additions.
